What makes you different from others? What makes you unique? Unique means “existing as the only one or as the sole example.” Your uniqueness is reflected in your lifestyle and it will speak for you among others. In fact, your uniqueness is your platform that brings you into the spotlight. If I spend some minutes talking with a person, I can have an idea about that person’s lifestyle and hence uniqueness. I’m going to show you an example from a unique man who walked the face of this earth-Jesus Christ. I learn so much from his sayings and found what I’m about to share with you interesting. You can adopt this and see how your life would be transformed. You will indeed be unique because Christ’s sayings reflects his uniqueness. See what he said in Matthew 5:46-47.

“If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that?”

If you ever do something for someone who can repay you that is great, but other people do it too. However, the blessings come from showing kindness to those who cannot repay you. Only a few people in our world perform good deeds for those who cannot repay them. Others have the mindset that “If I do this for him or her, then I know he or she will do the same for me, now or later.” It is seen no longer as giving but more like a “contractual exchange.” This is where your uniqueness comes into play; Being different from others who have selfish intentions to get back what they’ve given. Here’s the big secret. When you give to someone who cannot repay you, the One who created that person will bless you beyond your wildest imaginations. It may not be necessarily in the same way as you gave, but in other ways unknown to you. From Christ’s unique words, love on someone today that can never repay your acts of kindness and see how your life takes a new turn.

If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? Matthew 5:46-47.
