When Last Have You Said Thank You?

thank-you-gratitude

Luke 17:11-19 of the Holy Bible tells the story of ten lepers that came across Jesus Christ. During biblical times, lepers were overlooked and rejected by society but Jesus Christ never considered anyone a degenerate or reject. He held everyone in high esteem with so much love. Christ told them to show themselves to the priest, and on their way they discovered they were healed from their infirmity! When one of them discovered that he was healed, he returned to say thank you to Christ. Of course you can’t come to Christ and go back the same way! The leper got extra blessings. Christ reminds me of an uncle of blessed memories, who each time I visited, ALWAYS had something special for me.

Only one of the ten lepers received total healing, both outer and inner, and was made completely whole. Why? Because he showed gratitude. Gratitude will single you out from the crowd. Out of ten, only one went home with the complete package. Isn’t it amazing that only 10% of people show gratitude while the remaining 90% think the universe owes it to them? Your level of gratitude will determine your altitude. In other words, be thankful for what you have rather than complain about what you don’t have, and you will see how high the universe will place you.

“And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God, And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan. And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine? There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger. And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.” Luke 17:15-19
